Specific Admissions Requirements by Academic Division
The following documents are required for your child’s application process and must be presented at the time of registration.
Pre-School / Early Years Program
Age Requirements
Toddlers: 2 years of age
Nursery 3 years of age
Pre-Kinder: 4 years of age
Kindergarten: 5 years of age
If a child was born between the months’ of September and December, DCS’s Developmental Assessment will determine the final admission decision.
When DCS Campus opens, a Campus Tour and Interview with Admissions Director is required for families living in Tegucigalpa; otherwise, if DCS Campus remains closed or family lives outside the city, a virtual meeting and interview with Admission’s Director will suffice.
Either an in-person or virtual Developmental Assessment by Counselor and meeting with Pre-School Principal is required.
Original Birth Certificate for Honduran Citizens or Citizenship Documentation for International Students (Birth Certificate and/or coloured copy of passport apostilled or authenticated)
Two photographs size 3 X 4 cm
Copy of Vaccination Records
Certificate of Studies from previous School (prior schooling), if applicable. These include:
*Transcripts reflecting Nursery or Pre-Kínder grades and marking system used
*Certificate of Good Standing / Discipline Reports
If transfer student, please provide grades and progress reports for the application year. (Nursery, Pre-Kinder & Kinder)

Any other previous or current educational information such as psychological / psycho-educational evaluations, if applicable
Elementary Years Program
(1-5 grades)
Age Requirements
Grade 1: 6 years of age
Grades 2-12: Students are evaluated according to their age and academic level to determine placement. Generally, a student will not be admitted if he/she is more than two years older than the average age of students in his/her grade.

Grades 2-12: Generally, a student will not be admitted if he/she is more than two years older than the average age of students in his/her grade.
